The automotive market in India is buzzing with excitement as Tata unveils the latest updates to the 2024 Tata Altroz. The Maruti Baleno, a current best-seller, is now facing stiff competition from the refreshed Altroz lineup. With the introduction of two new variants, XZ Lux and XZ+S Lux, Tata is ramping up the features offered on the Altroz. The XZ Lux variant now boasts a 10.25-inch infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, wireless Android Auto, and Apple Carplay. On the other hand, the XZ+ S Lux variant comes with the added safety of 6 airbags. Additionally, the XZ+ OS variant receives enhancements like connected car technology and an air purifier, along with features from the XZ+ S Lux model.
In terms of performance, the 2024 Tata Altroz offers multiple engine options to cater to diverse preferences. Drivers can opt for a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 85bhp and 113Nm of torque, or choose a 1.5-litre diesel engine delivering 89bhp and 200Nm of torque. With the introduction of the new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine on the Altroz Racer, Tata has phased out the i-turbo variants of the Altroz.
Looking forward, Tata is also working on a facelift for the Altroz, following a similar strategy implemented for the Harrier and Safari models. The facelift is expected to bring notable changes to both the exterior and interior design of the Altroz. There may be enhancements in safety features as well, potentially making 6 airbags a standard offering. These updates aim to further elevate the safety standards of the Altroz, making it an even more appealing option in the competitive hatchback segment.
The unveiling of the new variants and features on the 2024 Tata Altroz signifies Tata’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. With a focus on enhancing technology, safety, and performance, Tata continues to push boundaries in the Indian automotive market. Stay tuned for more updates on the evolving landscape of the automotive industry in India.
