The MY24 Tata Altroz has received a significant update, bringing in new features and revamped variants while discontinuing the i-Turbo options. Tata Motors seems to be focusing on enhancing its market share in the premium hatchback segment with these changes.
The latest updates to the 2024 Altroz draw inspiration from the upcoming Altroz Racer edition. The new variants, including XZ LUX, XZ+ S LUX, and XZ+ S LUX Dark, come with added features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, and a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster for certain trims. Notably, the LUX variants receive exclusive features like wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and 8 Harman speakers.
Tata has shuffled its trim levels to provide a more premium experience, with the XZ+ S LUX variant being equipped with 6 airbags for enhanced safety. Unfortunately, the company has decided to discontinue the i-Turbo variants in favor of the Altroz Racer edition, aligning with the brand’s strategy to cater to performance-oriented buyers.
While the Altroz Racer will feature a powerful 120 PS turbocharged petrol engine, the regular Altroz will offer a choice between a 1.2L NA Petrol, 1.2L i-CNG, and 1.5L Diesel powertrains. The new Altroz lineup aims to provide a feature-rich driving experience, although leatherette seats have been removed from the standard variants.
In terms of styling, the 2024 Altroz will be available in captivating color options like Avenue White, Arcade Grey, Opera Blue, Downtown Red, and Cosmo Dark. The MY24 update brings a fresh breath of air to the premium hatchback segment, making the Altroz a compelling choice for buyers looking for a well-rounded driving experience.
