Sanjay Dutt Remembers Mother Nargis on 95th Birth Anniversary with Emotional Post

On June 1, 1929, Bollywood icon Nargis Dutt was born, and on Saturday, actor Sanjay Dutt marked his late mother’s 95th birth anniversary with a heartfelt tribute on social media. In an emotional post, Sanjay expressed his love and admiration for the ‘Mother India’ actor, sharing two black-and-white photos of Nargis. The first image captured a young Sanjay smiling next to his mother, while the second was a solo portrait of the iconic actor. Sanjay’s caption read, ‘Happy birthday mama, I miss you every day, every minute, every second. I wish you were with me, leading the life you wanted me to, and I hope I have made you proud. Love you and miss you, mama.’ Nargis Dutt’s Bollywood journey began at the age of five, starring in the film Talash-E-Haq in 1935. She went on to deliver standout performances in films like Tamanna (1942), Mother India (1957), and Raat Aur Din. After tying the knot with actor Sunil Dutt in 1958, Nargis bid farewell to her acting career. Recognized for her contributions, she was honored with the Padma Shri in 1958. Tragically, Nargis succumbed to pancreatic cancer at the age of 51 in March 1981. Despite her untimely departure, she left behind an enduring legacy in the world of Indian cinema.
