Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Watch FE, the first ‘Fan Edition’ smartwatch by the South Korean tech giant. This new smart wearable is powered by a dual-core Exynos W920 chipset and features a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED screen, along with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The watch offers various health and activity sensors to monitor heart rate, EGC, blood pressure, and sleep cycles.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE comes in three elegant colour options – Black, Pink Gold, and Silver. It boasts an aluminium body, interchangeable one-click bands, and a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED screen with Sapphire Crystal glass and Always On Display feature. With 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage, it runs on Wear OS-backed One UI 5 Watch.

In terms of health features, the Galaxy Watch FE includes HR Alert for detecting abnormal heart rates, Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification (IHRN) for detecting atrial fibrillation, blood pressure monitoring, and over 100 preset workout modes. Additionally, it supports Samsung Wallet for digital payments and camera control of paired smartphones.

The smartwatch is equipped with a 247mAh battery supporting WPC-based wireless charging. Connectivity options include LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC. It has a MIL-STD-810H-rated build, 5ATM water resistance, and measures 39.3 x 40.4 x 9.8mm, weighing in at 26.6g.

The Bluetooth version of the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE is priced at $199.99 and will be available for purchase starting June 24. The LTE version, priced at $249.99, is set to go on sale later this year.
