WhatsApp, the popular messaging platform, is reportedly working on a new feature to make Meta AI even more interactive and fun. Meta AI was rolled out in India last month and is now available across all Meta platforms, including WhatsApp. Users can use Meta AI for various tasks, such as generating AI-powered images. The upcoming upgrade will allow users to create avatars of themselves using Meta AI.
According to reports, WhatsApp is exploring the option for users to choose between different Llama models for their AI interactions, allowing them to select the default Llama 3-70B model for simple prompts or the advanced Llama 3-405B model for complex queries. This move aims to enhance personalization and user experience on the platform.
The new feature in development will enable users to generate images of themselves by taking a single set of photos, which will be analyzed and created with the help of Meta AI. Users will have full control over this feature and can delete their setup photos at any time through the Meta AI settings.
To use this feature, users can ask Meta AI to generate an image by typing ‘Imagine me’ or ‘@Meta AI imagine me’ in the chat. This command is processed separately to ensure user privacy, and the resulting image message will automatically be shared in the conversation by the app.
It is important to note that this feature is optional and requires users to opt in by enabling it in their settings and taking setup pictures. The feature is still under development and will be available in a future update, adding a new dimension to user interaction on WhatsApp. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development.
