After reports surfaced about a fan losing a significant sum of Rs 50 lakh in an alleged scam orchestrated by a fan page associated with the actor, Sidharth took to social media to set the record straight. In a statement released on Wednesday, Sidharth expressed his dismay over fraudulent activities that have been circulating on various social media platforms, claiming to be linked with him, his family, and individuals posing as his fans. Sidharth emphasized that neither he nor his family supports such deceitful actions. The actor urged everyone to exercise caution when dealing with such matters, advising individuals to report any suspicious requests to the appropriate authorities and to refrain from spreading false information. He reassured his followers that their trust and safety remain his top priorities, emphasizing the enduring strength of his fan base in his career. Sidharth’s statement came in response to allegations made by Minoo Vasudevan, a US-based fan, who accused the fan page admins, Aliza and Husna Parveen, of duping her of Rs 50 lakh. According to Minoo, the fan page creators concocted stories about Sidharth’s life being in danger due to his wife, Kiara Advani. She disclosed how she was convinced to provide financial assistance to ‘save Sid,’ resulting in a total loss of Rs 50 lakh. The fan shared screenshots of conversations and demanded justice and a refund of her money. Despite the seriousness of the accusations, there has been no response from either Sidharth or the fan page admins on Instagram as of yet. The incident underscores the need for caution and vigilance in online interactions, as fraudulent activities continue to pose a threat to unwary individuals in the digital space.
