The automotive industry in India experienced a significant development as Tata Motors introduced the Tata Altroz Racer in the market, priced at Rs. 9.49 lakh onwards. This performance-based variant of the Altroz comes with a 1.2 L three-cylinder turbo petrol engine, producing 120 PS at 5,500 rpm and 170 Nm at 1,750 to 4,000 rpm, the same powertrain as the Nexon. Paired with a six-speed manual transmission, the Altroz Racer boasts cosmetic enhancements, a wide range of features, and a sporty exhaust note.
Positioned as the top-spec model in the Altroz lineup, the Racer offers three variants: R1, R2, and R3, with a choice of Pure Grey, Atomic Orange, and Avenue White colors. In addition to the Altroz Racer, Tata also expanded the standard Altroz lineup with new variants: XZ LUX and XZ+S LUX, along with upgrades to the XZ+ OS variant, available in petrol NA manual, petrol DCA, diesel, and CNG options.
The R1 variant is equipped with a host of features including rear armrest, rear wipers and wash, 4 speakers + 4 tweeters, FATC, projector headlamps, front fog lamps, cruise control, and more. Moving up the range, the R2 variant adds electric sunroof with voice assist, wireless charger, TFT digital cluster, 360-degree camera, and Xpress Cool. Finally, the range-topping R3 variant comes with iRA connected Car tech, front ventilated seats, and an air purifier.
Furthermore, the new XZ LUX variant offers a 26.03 cm touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The XZ+S LUX variant adds 6 airbags, while the XZ+ OS variant features iRA Connected Car tech and an air purifier, enhancing the overall driving experience for consumers in India. With these additions and upgrades to the Altroz lineup, Tata Motors aims to provide a wide range of choices to cater to the diverse needs of customers in the Indian market.
