Apple has unveiled a new Calculator app for iPad as part of the upcoming iPadOS 18 release at WWDC 2024. This new app comes with special Apple Pencil support and introduces a unique Math Notes feature that allows users to write or type out mathematical expressions and instantly see them solved in their handwriting.
With the new graphing feature, users can easily write or type an equation, insert a graph with a single tap, and even add multiple equations on the same graph to see the relations between them. Additionally, Math Notes will be automatically accessible in the Notes app within a dedicated Math Notes folder.
The Calculator app in iPadOS 18 will include both basic and scientific calculators to help users view complete expressions before finalizing them. Users can also assign values to variables for educational purposes or budget calculations. Furthermore, the app will feature a History function to track previous calculations, as well as unit conversions for length, weight, currencies, and more.
The first developer beta of iPadOS 18 is available starting today, followed by a public beta release in July and an official public launch scheduled for this fall. Stay tuned for more updates on the latest technological advancements from Apple at HeadlineFly.com.
