Apple enthusiasts have something to look forward to as the highly anticipated Apple Watch Series 10 is set to make its mark with a larger display and a faster chipset. According to the latest reports from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the upcoming Apple Watch Series 10 will boast bigger screens, a thinner design, and improved performance.
The Apple Watch Series 10 lineup, codenamed N217 and N218, is expected to feature bigger screens this year. The larger of the two models will reportedly have a screen size comparable to that of the Apple Watch Ultra, with leaked schematics hinting at a 2-inch display – slightly larger than the current Apple Watch Ultra’s 1.93-inch screen. Additionally, the new Apple Watches are said to sport a thinner design, although the overall look may not differ significantly from the previous models.
In terms of performance, both the Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 3 will be equipped with a more powerful processor, potentially paving the way for future AI enhancements. However, it has been mentioned that there are currently no plans to bring the full suite of Apple Intelligence features to these devices.
While the new Apple Watch models are expected to deliver on the display and performance fronts, Apple has reportedly faced challenges with the implementation of new health features. Previous reports hinted at features like blood pressure monitoring and sleep apnea detection for the Apple Watch Series 10. However, setbacks in developing these health technologies have surfaced, with concerns over the reliability of the hypertension detection feature and issues related to blood oxygen saturation data affecting the sleep apnea detection feature.
Despite these hurdles, Apple enthusiasts can look forward to the unveiling of the Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 3 in September, alongside the anticipated release of the iPhone 16.
