The brutal murder of Bangladeshi MP Anwarul Azim Anar in Kolkata has shocked the nation, with new gruesome details emerging about the horrific crime. According to the West Bengal CID, Anar was smothered with a pillow shortly after entering a flat in New Town, Kolkata. The accused, Mohammad Siyam Hussain, who was apprehended in Nepal, confessed during interrogation that a woman, believed to be the girlfriend of Akhtaruzzaman, a US national and the primary suspect, was involved in strangulating the politician. This revelation has added a chilling layer to the already horrifying crime. After killing Anar, the perpetrators dismembered his body, chopped it into small pieces, placed them in plastic bags, and scattered them in various parts of New Town and Bagjola canal. Some body parts were even tucked into a trolley suitcase and discarded near the Bangaon border with Bangladesh, painting a gruesome picture of the heinous act. The ordeal came to light when a missing complaint was filed by Gopal Biswas, an acquaintance of the MP, who noted Anar’s sudden disappearance after leaving for a doctor’s appointment on May 13. The subsequent discovery of human bones near a canal in South 24 Parganas district intensified the investigation, leading to the interrogation of key suspects and individuals involved in the crime. It has been revealed that the alleged mastermind, Akhtaruzzaman, orchestrated the murder over a payment dispute, paying a significant sum of money to those involved in perpetrating the gruesome act. The involvement of additional accomplices, including the butcher tasked with cutting the body, further exposes the intricate web of individuals entwined in this tragic incident. While the motive behind the murder remains unclear, the investigation has shed light on a complex plot involving international connections and sinister intentions. The unfolding details of Anar’s murder serve as a stark reminder of the dark realities that can lurk beneath seemingly ordinary circumstances, leaving the nation in shock and disbelief at the gruesome nature of the crime.
