BJP veteran and former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani was discharged from the Apollo Hospital in New Delhi after a brief stay. The 96-year-old leader was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday evening, accompanied by his daughter Pratibha Advani. According to sources, Advani’s condition remained stable during his time at the hospital. Lal Krishna Advani, a stalwart in Indian politics, started his journey with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1942. He later joined the Bharatiya Jana Sangh (BJS) and played a pivotal role in the formation and growth of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 1980. One of the most significant moments in his career was leading the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, advocating for the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya. Advani has been a central figure in shaping the BJP’s ideology and expanding its presence across India. He also served as the Deputy Prime Minister under Atal Bihari Vajpayee from 2002 to 2004. Lal Krishna Advani is married to Kamla Advani, and the couple has two children, Jayant and Pratibha. His contributions to Indian politics continue to be remembered and celebrated by people across the nation.
