CNG Price Spike in Delhi-NCR and Surrounding Cities: Check Out the Latest Rates Near You

The prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) have recently been hiked in Delhi by the Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), causing a ripple effect across the National Capital Region (NCR) as well as some cities in Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. The increase amounts to ₹1 per kg, pushing the price of CNG in Delhi to ₹75.09 per kg effective from 6 am on June 22. However, the CNG rates in Gurugram, Karnal, and Kaithal have remained unchanged. The market scenario has seen a significant shift, with the following new retail prices by Indraprastha Gas Limited: NCT of Delhi at Rs. 75.09 per Kg, Noida at Rs. 79.70 per Kg, Greater Noida at Rs. 79.70 per Kg, Ghaziabad at Rs. 79.70 per Kg, Muzaffarnagar at Rs. 80.08 per Kg, and Meerut at Rs. 80.08 per Kg, among others. Sonoma CNG prices in Lucknow have also surged to ₹94.00 per kg. This upward trend in CNG prices is not unique to Delhi and NCR, as various areas across Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan have experienced the impact of this price hike. Rewari, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, and Shamli in Uttar Pradesh have seen an increase in CNG rates, with Rewari now pricing CNG at Rs. 79.70 per kg instead of the previous Rs. 78.70 per kg. Additionally, in Maisuri, the price has risen from Rs. 79.08 to Rs. 80.08 per kg. Similarly, Ajmer, Pali, and Rajsamand in Rajasthan have also witnessed a one-rupee hike in CNG prices, with the new rate set at Rs. 82.94 per kg. The surge in CNG prices in various regions points towards a challenging time for consumers and draws attention to the volatile market dynamics in the energy sector.
