On a fateful day in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district, a tragic encounter unfolded, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. The clash between security forces and Maoists resulted in the loss of at least 8 lives, including that of one valiant security personnel.
The intense confrontation erupted in the remote and challenging terrain of Abujhmad, encompassing the areas of Kutul, Farasbeda, and Kodtameta. This operation was part of a joint anti-naxal mission carried out by the District Reserve Guards and Special Task Force from Narayanpur, Kondagaon, Kanker, and Dantewada districts. The task force, bolstered by personnel from the Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) 53rd Corps, aimed to curb the insurgent activities prevalent in the region.
