In a recent announcement at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple unveiled new features coming to iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, focusing on enhancing privacy and security for app usage. Among these features is the option to lock and hide apps, providing users with an additional layer of protection to keep sensitive information secure. To lock an individual app, users can now set up multiple layers of security. This feature means that Face ID will be automatically triggered when attempting to access a locked app, adding an extra barrier against unauthorized access. Additionally, for certain apps, users will have the option to hide them from the home screen, making them even more inaccessible to prying eyes. The hidden apps will be stored in a special ‘Hidden’ folder in the App Library, further ensuring that personal information remains private.
