The actor took to his Instagram to express his gratitude towards his co-star Kareena Kapoor, who had recommended him for the role in the movie. In a heartfelt note, Fardeen shared a reel showcasing some intense moments from the film featuring Kareena, Amitabh Bachchan, and late actor Om Puri. He acknowledged Kareena’s pivotal role in his career, stating, ‘It was she who recommended me for the role, and I will always be grateful to her for that.’ Fardeen also praised Govind Nihalani for entrusting him with a character in a film that was both relevant and meaningful at the time.
