On the occasion of the 10th International Yoga Day, the Indian armed forces displayed their dedication to physical and mental well-being by participating in various yoga activities across different locations. Indian Army personnel were seen practicing yoga on mountains and glaciers along the northern frontier, enduring snowy conditions to perform various asanas. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Army Chief General Manoj Pande joined in the celebrations, emphasizing the health benefits of yoga as a holistic alternative to medication.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the Yoga Day celebrations in Srinagar, focusing on the theme of ‘Yoga for Self and Society,’ highlighting the practice’s impact on personal health and societal harmony. Schoolchildren, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, and Indian Navy personnel also actively engaged in yoga sessions at locations like Ladakh and aboard warships like INS Tarkash and INS Teg.
The event aimed to unite thousands in promoting health and wellness through yoga, reflecting India’s cultural heritage and global influence.
