JSW Steel has recently launched an innovative product called JSW Magsure, a Zinc-Magnesium-Aluminium alloy coated steel aimed at reducing India’s reliance on imported coated steel products. This new steel offering provides superior corrosion protection and is targeted towards various applications, such as solar installations, silos, guard rails, and AC components that require high levels of protection against corrosion. JSW Steel has patented the unique chemical composition of JSW Magsure, making it the first Indian company to produce such a product domestically.
The market for Zinc-Magnesium-Aluminium alloy coated steel has seen significant growth in recent years, with the demand expected to double in the current fiscal year. JSW Magsure aims to address this growing demand by offering a Made in India product with shorter delivery timelines, thus reducing supply limitations and spurring demand in both domestic and potential export markets.
Jayant Acharya, Joint Managing Director of JSW Steel, highlighted the company’s commitment to providing high-quality alloy coated steel products to meet the nation’s requirements. Additionally, Amarjit Singh Dahiya, Business Head of JSW Steel Coated Products, emphasized the superior corrosion resistance properties of JSW Magsure and its application across a wide range of industries.
