Lava has officially unveiled a new smartphone in its affordable Blaze line-up. The Lava Blaze X 5G follows the same design formula as the Blaze Curve 5G (Review), the brand’s most premium smartphone.
The Lava Blaze X 5G features a MediaTek chipset, a curved AMOLED display, a dual-camera setup, a large battery with fast charging support, stereo speakers, and a clean operating system.
The Lava Blaze X 5G price in India is set at Rs 14,999 for the base 4GB/128GB variant. Moreover, the handset also comes in a 6GB/128GB and an 8GB/128GB configuration that will set you back Rs 15,999 and Rs 16,999, respectively.
The Lava Blaze X 5G will go on sale in India through Amazon and Lava’s E-Store during the company’s Prime Day Sale on July 20. Lava has announced a launch offer of Rs 1,000 on all three configurations of the Blaze X 5G for a limited period.
The Lava Blaze X 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC paired with the Mali-G68 GPU. The phone comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Moreover, up to 8GB of unused storage can be utilized as virtual RAM.
Lava’s recent affordable smartphone sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ Curved AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 800 nits. The screen boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and a pixel density of 394 PPI. The Blaze X 5G also packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging support.
For optics, the Blaze X 5G features a 64 MP Sony primary camera sensor and a 2 MP secondary lens. Up front, Lava’s latest affordable smartphone uses a 16 MP selfie camera. The Blaze X 5G runs a clean version of Android 14 out of the box. Lava promises an upgrade to Android 15 as well as two years of regular security patches with the Blaze X 5G.
Connectivity options include 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, GPS, OTG, a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth, and more. The phone features an IP52 rating for resistance to splashes of water and dust. It also features an in-display fingerprint reader. The Lava Blaze X 5G comes in Starlight Purple and Titanium Grey color options.
