In June, Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest carmaker, reported a significant rise in sales compared to the same period last year. The company sold a total of 179,228 units, marking a 12.4 percent increase from June 2023. This surge in sales was primarily driven by the utility vehicles segment, which includes popular models such as Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, and XL6. Maruti Suzuki managed to sell 52,373 units in this segment alone, showcasing a strong demand for their utility vehicles.

However, the entry-level car sales for Maruti Suzuki witnessed a decline in June. The company sold 9,395 units in the entry-level segment, which includes models like Alto and S-Presso, reflecting a significant 49 percent drop compared to the same period last year.
