A major fire incident took place at the Acropolis Mall in Kolkata, leading to the evacuation of the building and the deployment of ten fire tenders to the scene. The fire broke out on the third floor of the mall located in the southern part of Kolkata. In response to the emergency, fire department officials immediately dispatched multiple fire tenders to manage and douse the blaze.

DCP Jadavpur Division Bidisha Kalita Dasgupta stated that the fire had been brought under control, though the exact cause of the fire remained unknown at the time. Videos circulated on social media showed individuals fleeing the mall premises to escape the fire.

This incident at Acropolis Mall marked the second major fire in Kolkata within a week, following a fire at a restaurant on Park Street just a few days prior.
