Motorola and Google Cloud have recently joined forces in an exciting multiyear partnership to introduce generative artificial intelligence to Motorola phones, starting with the latest series of Razr smartphones. The flagship Razr 50 Ultra clamshell smartphone is one of the first devices to benefit from this collaboration, which introduces the Moto ai service to users. Moto ai will be seamlessly integrated across all smartphone applications, offering users an enhanced experience by leveraging AI models to streamline tasks, create content, retrieve information from personal networks, and more.

One of the key objectives of Moto ai is to empower users to intuitively create content, personalize their devices, access desired information, and achieve more in less time, all thanks to Google’s advanced AI technology. The AI service will be deeply integrated within the device, providing context-aware personal and collaborative input to users throughout their smartphone journey.

Through this strategic partnership, Motorola will leverage AI models from Google Cloud’s Vertex AI service, including Gemini and Imagen models. The integration of Moto ai introduces features like Magic Canvas and Style Sync, enhancing the user experience. Magic Canvas allows users to create vivid images based on text descriptions, while Style Sync customizes the phone’s appearance to match the user’s personal style.

Umesh Vemuri, Vice President of Strategic Pursuits at Google Cloud, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating that the new lineup of Razr smartphones showcases the innovative applications of Google’s AI models, setting a new standard for smartphones as helpful companions worldwide. Motorola emphasized that Moto ai will continue to learn and adapt to user habits, providing personalized assistance and enhancing overall device performance.

The Moto ai service is now available on the latest Razr smartphones, including the Razr 50 Ultra, which is launching in select countries across Latin America and Europe. The device is also available for pre-order in North America, India, and select countries in the Asia Pacific region, promising a transformative smartphone experience for users. With Moto ai, Motorola and Google Cloud are revolutionizing the way users interact with their smartphones, offering a seamless and intuitive AI-powered experience.
