Motorola enthusiasts in India are eagerly awaiting the launch of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, which has been officially confirmed to debut on June 18. The smartphone is set to be the top-end model in the flagship series, following the Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion. Prior to its official release, key specifications of the device have been unveiled through a dedicated microsite on Flipkart. According to the microsite, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra will boast a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a remarkable 1.5K resolution, along with an impressive 144Hz refresh rate. The screen is said to offer a peak brightness of 2500 nits and 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. Additionally, the smartphone is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner for enhanced security and Gorilla Glass Victus protection for durability. Moreover, the device holds an IP68 dust and water resistance rating for added protection against the elements. Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra will run on the powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and support Moto AI, the company’s suite of AI features, including the innovative Magic Canvas feature that enables users to generate AI images based on text prompts. The phone is configured with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of inbuilt storage, ensuring smooth performance and ample space for multimedia and apps. Motorola has also promised three years of guaranteed OS upgrades and up to four years of security updates, offering users a future-proof device. Additionally, the handset will support rapid charging with up to 125W wired and 50W wireless charging capabilities. Furthermore, users will have the convenience of 10W wireless power sharing, allowing them to charge other devices like smartwatches and TWS earbuds using their smartphone. One of the standout features of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is its versatile camera setup. The device boasts a triple rear camera configuration, comprising a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. On the front, users can expect a high-resolution 50-megapixel selfie shooter for capturing stunning self-portraits. The camera system is packed with AI features such as AI adaptive stabilization and 100x AI super zoom for impressive photography capabilities. Motorola has kept the pricing of the Edge 50 Ultra under wraps for now, but its global counterpart is priced at EUR 999, which roughly converts to around Rs. 89,000. The smartphone will be available in three appealing color options: Pantone-validated Peach Fuzz, Forest Grey with a silicone vegan leather back panel, and a stylish wood finish.
