Oppo has recently unveiled the Oppo A3, a new mid-range smartphone that offers a budget-friendly 5G experience with a range of impressive features. This model serves as a more affordable version of the A3 Pro, catering to a wider audience with scaled-back specs. The Oppo A3 boasts a 6.7″ OLED display with FHD+ resolution, featuring a 10-bit panel with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling. The display is also protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and can reach up to 1,200 nits of brightness.
Under the hood, the Oppo A3 is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset, paired with either 8 or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 or 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Additionally, a microSD slot is available for further storage expansion. The camera setup on the A3 includes a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 lens, capable of recording 1080p video at 30fps. There’s also a 2MP depth sensor on the back and an 8MP selfie camera punch-holed into the display.
The smartphone comes equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging via a USB-C 2.0 port, offering a quick charging experience for users. In terms of design, the Oppo A3 features a slim build, measuring 7.15mm thick and weighing 178g. It is dust and water-resistant, although specific IP ratings have not been provided. The A3 is already available for pre-order in China, with base models starting at CNY 1,600. Customers can choose from three color options: green, black, and purple. Open sales for the Oppo A3 are set to begin on July 5, providing interested buyers with the opportunity to experience this budget-friendly 5G smartphone firsthand.
