Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently addressed the public in Mumbai, highlighting the creation of eight crore new jobs in the country over the last three to four years. The Prime Minister referenced a report by the RBI that showcased the significant job creation, effectively countering false narratives surrounding unemployment. Modi emphasized the importance of stability and development, asserting that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government is the best-suited to drive growth and provide employment opportunities.
During the event in Mumbai’s Goregaon suburb, marking the launch of several infrastructure projects amounting to Rs 29,000 crore, PM Modi emphasized the positive response from both small and large investors towards the NDA’s third term. He reiterated that the government is dedicated to enhancing skill development and employment opportunities in the country.
Modi also emphasized the connection between job creation and infrastructure development, noting that major projects like the Vadhavan port in Dahanu, Palghar, approved at Rs 76,000 crore, are expected to generate over 10 lakh jobs. The Prime Minister’s vision includes making Maharashtra a global financial powerhouse and Mumbai a leading fintech capital.
Highlighting the completion of infrastructure projects like the Coastal Road and Atal Setu, PM Modi underscored the benefits of enhanced connectivity in Mumbai. Despite initial challenges, the Atal Setu sea bridge has proven to be a valuable asset, aiding in reducing travel time, fuel consumption, and supporting efficient transportation in the region.
