Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a significant visit to Moscow, Russia, which has been described as ‘very important and full-fledged’ by the Kremlin. This visit holds immense importance for Russian-Indian relations, according to Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov. Modi’s visit to Russia from July 8 to 9 marks his first trip to the country in nearly five years. The purpose of the visit is to hold the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit, following an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During the summit, Modi and Putin will engage in discussions covering a wide array of areas relating to the multifaceted relations between the two countries. They will also exchange perspectives on current regional and global issues of mutual interest. This high-level visit was announced by the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, emphasizing the significance of the dialogue between the two nations.
Peskov mentioned that the agenda for Modi’s visit will be extensive, with both formal and informal talks scheduled. Russian-Indian relations are viewed as strategic partnership by Peskov, who highlighted the importance of one-on-one talks and discussions involving delegations.
