Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has taken a firm stand against the recent NEET paper leak scandal, vowing to fight corruption and secure the future of the youth in India. In a social media post, Mr. Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his silence on the issue, stating that the BJP-ruled States have become the “epicentre” of paper leaks. He emphasized his party’s commitment to taking the voice of the youth from the streets to Parliament, ensuring that their concerns are heard and addressed.

With more than 24 lakh students affected by the NEET examination tampering, Mr. Gandhi called for strict actions against those involved in the corruption. He highlighted the arrests made in Bihar, Gujarat, and Haryana, indicating organized corruption in a planned manner. The Congress leader stressed the importance of enacting strong laws against paper leaks to safeguard the future of the youth.

The Supreme Court’s stance on the NEET-UG 2024 examination negligence further fueled Mr. Gandhi’s determination to address the issue. The Congress has hinted at raising the NEET scandal in the upcoming special session of Parliament, asserting their role as a responsible Opposition. Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate emphasized the need for strong opposition voices to pressure the government into formulating strict policies to combat corruption and ensure transparency.

In his 14-minute speech, Mr. Gandhi addressed the potential rise in temperature during Parliament sessions, promising a more democratic approach to running the House. As the NEET scandal continues to unravel, Mr. Gandhi remains steadfast in his commitment to fighting corruption, advocating for the rights and future of the youth in India.
