In a recent RSS event in Nagpur, the chief, Mohan Bhagwat, emphasized the need to prioritize resolving the prolonged unrest in Manipur following the outbreak of violence. He stressed the importance of bringing peace to the northeastern state that has been in turmoil since last year.
Bhagwat also highlighted the qualities of a true ‘sevak’ to include pride in work but without attachment or arrogance. He urged individuals to focus on their duties efficiently.
Furthermore, Bhagwat pointed out the significance of getting over election rhetoric and instead concentrating on the critical issues facing the nation. He stated that elections should be viewed as a process of building consensus, not as a war.
The RSS chief emphasized the importance of public opinion and the role of the Opposition in shedding light on different perspectives. He denoted the necessity of maintaining decorum in electoral contests and addressing the challenges that the country still encounters.
Bhagwat acknowledged that while positive strides have been made in various fields over the past decade, challenges persist and the work towards addressing them cannot stop. He also mentioned the need for unity in society and the importance of respecting diverse opinions.
During the event, Bhagwat revealed that the Bharatiya Janata Party lost the Lok Sabha Elections in Manipur, with Congress emerging victorious under the leadership of Biren Singh in both seats. The chief further highlighted the changing societal dynamics globally and the essence of democracy in bringing about systemic changes for transformative rejuvenation.
