Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan criticized Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren for replacing Champai Soren as Chief Minister, accusing him of prioritizing the interests of a single family. Chouhan questioned the need to remove Champai Soren, stating that he could have been allowed to continue as CM. The move was viewed as a glaring example of dynastic politics and hunger for power, according to Chouhan. During his visit to Jharkhand, Chouhan interacted with locals who raised issues related to housing approvals and corruption under the Soren government. They expressed dissatisfaction with the policies and alleged corruption affecting their daily lives. Chouhan emphasized the BJP’s commitment to bringing a significant change in the upcoming assembly elections in the state. He highlighted the need to end what he described as misrule by the current government and expressed confidence in the BJP’s prospects for forming a new government. Chouhan underscored the potential of Jharkhand as a state and reiterated the BJP’s ideology and commitment to effective governance. Hemant Soren, the JMM leader, recently took oath as the 13th Chief Minister of Jharkhand, following his release from jail on bail. Champai Soren served as CM during Hemant’s incarceration before resigning from the position. The floor test for the new government led by Hemant Soren is scheduled for July 8 in the Legislative Assembly. The return of Hemant Soren as CM is expected to strengthen the JMM, particularly after the party’s success in the recent Lok Sabha elections in the state.
