Suraj Revanna, the brother of rape-accused former JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a Janata Dal (Secular) worker at his farmhouse in Gannikada, Karnataka. The horrifying details of the incident came to light through an FIR filed by the victim. According to the complaint, on June 16, Suraj Revanna sexually assaulted the party worker despite his objections and made disturbing advances.
During the assault, Suraj Revanna reportedly told the victim that it was his first time having sex with him and assured him that the experience would be ‘better next time’. Shockingly, he even promised the victim a job if he agreed to be with him. The victim, overwhelmed with fear, protested against Suraj’s advances, but was met with threats and coercion.
The FIR revealed that Suraj Revanna forcefully kissed and bit the victim’s lips and cheeks, and engaged in unwanted physical acts, including oral and anal sex. Despite the victim’s pleas to stop, Suraj continued the assault, claiming that it would become easier with time. He even went on to assure the victim of help in advancing his political stature and securing a job, on the condition of complete obedience.
Following the assault, the victim confided in Suraj Revanna’s aide, Shivakumar, recounting the harrowing experience.
