The company announced that its Punch.ev and Nexon.ev models have achieved the prestigious 5-star safety rating from Bharat-NCAP. This achievement marks a significant milestone for Tata Motors, as the Punch.ev received the highest ever scores for adult occupant protection (AOP) and child occupant protection (COP) in the history of Bharat-NCAP testing.
The Punch.ev scored an impressive 31.46 out of 32 points for AOP and 45 out of 49 points for COP, showcasing its commitment to safety and quality. In addition, the Nexon.ev also secured high scores of 29.86/32 for AOP and 44.95/49 for COP, further solidifying Tata Motors’ position as the only OEM with the safest range of SUVs scoring 5-stars across both Bharat-NCAP and Global-NCAP tests.
This achievement has garnered praise from Mr. Nitin Gadkari, the Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, who commended Tata Motors for their commitment to safety. Mr. Shailesh Chandra, MD of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, highlighted the company’s focus on safety and innovation, stating that safety is a top priority for Indian car buyers.
