In the latest development from the Lok Sabha elections, the seventh and final phase of the elections is just a few days away. Voting for the final phase will be taking place on June 1 in 57 constituencies across eight states and Union Territories (UTs). Voting for the sixth phase was held on Saturday (May 25), and a voter turnout of 63.36 per cent.
Counting of votes for all seven phases will take place on June 4. In a surprising turn of events, Union Home Minister Amit Shah made a bold statement while campaigning for BJP candidate Vijay Kumar Dubey from Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. Shah confidently stated that the results of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls will give a rude shock to rival Rahul Gandhi of Congress. He also added that Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the UP’s Samajvadi Party, will be reduced to just four seats.
Shah confidently proclaimed, “I can say the results of June 4 from this stage in Kushinagar. Rahul Baba (Gandhi), your party (Congress) will not even cross 40 seats. And Akhilesh Yadav, no matter how sympathetically I speak, you will not even win 4 seats. The country’s people have decided that for the next five years, Narendra Modi will be the Prime Minister and after that, he will continue to be the Prime Minister multiple times.” This statement comes amidst a heated political atmosphere leading up to the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
The Lok Sabha elections have been a hotbed of political drama, with various leaders making bold claims and accusations. Prime Minister Modi, in his recent campaign rallies, has been emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the constitutional rights of marginalized communities, such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). He has accused the INDIA bloc of indulging in “vote bank politics” and undermining the rights of these groups.
In another significant development, PM Modi has expressed confidence that the BJP will emerge as the biggest gainer in West Bengal in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He highlighted the party’s performance in the state in the 2019 elections and predicted that BJP will achieve maximum success in West Bengal in the current elections. This statement comes as a strong assertion amidst a one-sided election battle in West Bengal, with the Trinamool Congress leaders expressing frustration.
As the Lok Sabha elections near the conclusion, the political landscape continues to evolve, with leaders from various parties making bold statements and engaging in intense campaigning. The results of the elections on June 4 will be eagerly awaited to see how the political scenario in the country unfolds.
